I have been an aircraft enthusiast for nearly 40 years. In particular I like to combine this with travel which in some cases I have been lucky enough to do as part of my job. As a result I am able to take pictures of unusual aircraft and airlines from around the world. I hope you enjoy .....Dave P

- Tuscon International June 2016
- Marana Pinal Air Park June 2016

- Fairford International Air Tatoo 2015
- Antalya Turkey July 2015
My annual visit to Antalya on Turkey's south coast. Staying at the Lara hotel with great views of aircraft visiting this busy airport.
This year there is a noticeable reduction in the number of Russian holiday flights, although they are still very regular and this is one of the few places you will see such numbers and variety of airlines.
- Ascot Races Helipad June 2015
Visited the temporary Helipad set up for Royal Ascot races. Anything up to 50 Helicopters can be present at a time. Great action and close up too.
- Seoul Gimpo June 2015
Gimpo is Seoul's second airport and mainly handles domestic flights together with a few International flights from China and Japan. I spent a couple of hours on the observation deck here which is located on the 6th floor of the KAC building in between domestic and International terminals.
- Beijing China June 2015
On a recent Asia trip, I travelled on Air China. All flights hubbed through Beijing capital airport. All photos were taken from Terminal 3 where plenty of glass allows good views of the main runways and the variety of aircraft using them.
- Singapore Changi June 2015
Whilst in town for business, I took the opportunity to visit the Crowne plaza hotel at Changi airport where it is possible to get some nice shots of aircraft landing and exiting the runway. Plenty of variety here from a good spread of Asian carriers.

- Washington DC Reagan National Nov 30th Nov 2014
A cold but beautiful morning spent at Gravelly Point park under the northerly threshold of the runways at DCA.
It is amazing how much bird activity is tolerated here....check out the Frontier A320. I also had to can a number of photos due to the birds stealing the limelight from the aircraft.

Two days spent at the Camino Reale Hotel at Mexico City's International airport. All photos taken from room 844 or the Club lounge situated on the 8th floor.

- Paris Le Bourget and Orly November 2014
A short trip across the channel to visit the wine warehouses of Calais pre Christmas. Slight overshoot found myself in Paris for a couple of days pursuing the hobby. Not great weather for photos , but a few were worth posting. Nice Antonov at Le Bourget I thought.
- Istanbul Ataturk September 2014
Whilst attending an expo close to the main airport Ataturk, I took the opportunity to visit the famous Fly-inn Mall which is located close to the runway thresholds. The mall coffee shop staff are friendly to our hobby and their open air balcony affords fantastic views of the variety of traffic found at this crossroads between Europe and Asia. Although dominated by the fast expanding THY fleet, the opportunity to see airlines from the 'stans' and Middle East, not common in Western European skies has to be experienced..
- Farnborough International July 2014
A day spent at this well known Aerospace show. The tightly packed static ramps do not make for good photographic opportunities, however there is always a good amount of executive and GA traffic to be seen as this is an active Business Aviation venue.
- Around the UK 2014
Photos from various fields around the UK. This album will be added to as the year goes on. Some nice shots at Luton when on Easterlies ..check it out

A visit for the IAT. Vantage point was the campsite at Totterdown hill. Unfortunately the weather was not great for most of the show, although some blue sky did eventually appear
- Antalya Turkey June 2014
A few days spent in Antalya at the Lara Hotel. In bound arrivals over the sea during morning and evening routing just to the right of the Hotel give good photo opportunities against crystal clear blue skies. Arrivals on the more distant left runway are best photographed in the evening due to the light.
To get these photos you don't even have to move off your sunbed !
Also added a couple of photos taken at Istanbul whilst connecting.

A much quieter day today. Mostly repeat visits, although a nice EC-365 Dauphin G-LCPL provided a bit of variety.

- Toronto Pearson April 2014
Whilst En route to Washington DC , I stopped for a couple of nights at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel at Toronto YYZ. Great views can be had of the ramps, runways and activities. Optically the room windows are tinted and have areas of distortion. Consequently some shots are not perfect, but hopefully this will give you an idea of the variety of aircraft and views possible.

Some photos in support of my trip report detailing hotel views and Seaplane operations

- Bangkok Don Muang June 2013
As I had booked on the low cost carrier Air Asia, I flew out of the old International airport at Don Muang. This is now a hub for low cost carriers and handles most of the GA activity for Bangkok. Stayed in the Grand Inn Come hotel near BKK airport. Great views across the airport from here.
- Dubai February 2013
A favourite location for me. A great deal of variety at DXB, and great views from the roof of the Sheraton Deira hotel. A high room facing the airport gives good views of the landing traffic and thresholds, also across to the Aeromexico terminal and maint hangars.
- Miami Florida December 2012
A few shots taken from the room at the Comfort Suites Miami Airport. Glass is tinted so not the best photos, but they do give some idea of the airliner quality that can be seen, and the view attainable from airport facing rooms.

Airliners up to Boeing 767 size come here for engineering work together with Executive jets and commuter aircraft from all over Africa. It is difficult to think of a comparison in this part of the world for variety of aircraft genre and manufacturer, and most importantly freindliness towards the photographer and enthusiast.
Big thanks go out to the Airport Manager and Permits Chief for allowing access resulting in these photos.
